Who we are
"As the founder of Future First Steps, I have recognised a strong need in our community to better prepare children for the future. This journey has two critical stages: the first is supporting young learners as they transition into kindergarten, and the second is equipping students with the skills they need as they prepare to step into the real world at the end of high school. At Future First Steps, we partner with schools and parents to guide the next generation—helping them take each step with confidence towards a brighter future"
Meet Naz, founder of Future First Steps and a passionate advocate for empowering young people. Growing up in Western Sydney with migrant parents, Naz knows first-hand the value of resilience, determination, and community support. Nothing was handed to them—every achievement came from hard work, perseverance, and learning through both successes and mistakes.
After completing a degree in Business and Commerce, majoring in International Business and Global Management, Naz built a successful career as a Marketing Manager in the finance industry. With over 15 years of corporate experience climbing the ladder, they developed strong professional expertise and leadership skills. Alongside this journey, Naz also built a family and is now married with two young children.
Driven by a passion for education and giving back, Naz returned to university to complete a Masters in Primary Teaching and is now a qualified primary school teacher. This unique blend of corporate, academic, and teaching experience fuels their enthusiasm for guiding students—whether it’s helping them transition into school, building confidence in their social and emotional wellbeing, or preparing them for life beyond the classroom.
Understanding the pressures schools face, Naz has also designed services to support schools directly. Transition-to-school programs are tailored to engage families and prepare children for kindergarten—taking one important task off the school’s already full plate, while ensuring students and parents feel confident and connected from the very start.
Beyond school programs, Naz works closely with families to guide students as they step into the wider world. Through practical, real-life programs, students learn skills to navigate challenges they may face—everything from building self-confidence, decision-making, and managing responsibilities, to understanding social dynamics—helping them transition smoothly from school life into life beyond the classroom.

What we value
Together, these values guide educators in nurturing well-rounded individuals prepared for future academic success and social engagement.
School Readiness
Our play-based program prepares children for school by developing social, literacy, and numeracy skills in a hands-on, engaging way. It builds confidence, independence, and familiarity with school routines—making the transition smoother for both students and school staff.
Building Resilient, Confident Students
Through interactive, play-based activities and guided discussions, children develop emotional awareness, self-regulation, empathy, and effective communication, while learning strategies to manage stress and build positive relationships. The program helps students thrive in the classroom, making it easier for school staff to nurture confident, resilient learners.
From School to Life: Skills That Stick
Our program empowers students aged 15+ to step confidently into the world beyond school. Through practical, hands-on lessons, they learn essential life skills—managing finances, understanding loans and taxes, starting a business, communicating effectively, and navigating independence. By equipping students with real-world knowledge, we help them make informed choices, build confidence, and take charge of their future.
